Life gradually led Inés to NOuMAD. ‘While I was studying Chinese at the University of Singapore, I was full of ideas and I started to travel looking for leather suppliers, to design models and to carry out small productions, that's how NOuMAD was born’ says Inés, because behind this fascinating company is a restless, independent and positive woman who studied Business Management and Administration at CUNEF and who has had to reinvent herself several times due to her life in different countries. Thanks to having seen so much, and having been enriched by many cultures, Inés has been able to create a cosmopolitan brand that appeals to a modern, hard-working and practical style of woman, just like her bags. The names of the bags are islands of the Malay archipelago, that part of the world that Inés knows perfectly and that inspires her creations.

NOuMAD was born from Inés Álvarez-Nóvoa's passion for travelling and for craftsmanship, for producing unique and special pieces. After several years living between Malaysia, South Africa and Madrid, Inés decided to create a brand of accessories with the best exotic leathers. Her philosophy is clear, to offer very good quality, authenticity and design in pieces that are functional, timeless and essential in any woman's wardrobe. NOuMAD has a wide variety of models for different occasions with natural, varnished and stone-washed finishes.

All the leathers are tanned and treated by hand so the final result of each piece is different, making each bag truly unique. Most of the leathers are dyed and have different finishes which can be natural, varnished or stone washed. This is achieved thanks to the mixture of dyes that makes each colour special and no two are the same. The colours of the leathers can be plain or mottled depending on their original qualities. All our skins are protected by the CITES certificate, which guarantees responsible trade.

NOuMAD began its adventure in 2010. Inés' nomadic spirit is what inspires her to create her collections. Designs designed for women with their own style, who look for comfort in their everyday life and appreciate true quality; NOuMAD bags are undoubtedly a temptation for the most demanding wardrobes.
